About Us
Burwa is a word from the Guna language used to refer to everything that is felt but not seen. The soul, the wind, energy, intuition… that which guides you without making a sound.
This is how we imagine each trip: as an experience that connects with something deeper.
Burwa was created to offer authentic and memorable experiences in the most special corners of the country. We fuse Panama's rich cultural heritage with personalized service, understated comfort, and respect for local traditions.
We design intimate routes, select accommodations with soul, and work hand in hand with local communities and guides who share our values: authenticity, cultural sensitivity, and a human touch that leaves a lasting impression.
More than planning trips, we curate experiences that inspire and last... Are you in?

Our symbol: Designed from the ground up.
Burwa's new emblem merges ancestral Panamanian geometry with the elegance of contemporary design. Inspired by the Guna and Emberá worldviews, this symbol honors the cycle of life, the connection to the four cardinal directions, and the inner harmony awakened by our travels.
The spiral represents the personal journey and transformation.
The arms reflect balance and global connection.
The closed shape symbolizes unity, intention, and respect.
Burwa is a bridge between cultures. Between the authentic and the curated. Between what we were, and what we are called to live.

Judit Sostres
FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR
I'm Judit, born in Barcelona and a traveler at heart. For over a decade, discovering cultures and exploring destinations has become more than a passion: it's a way of life.
I lived in Thailand, Brazil and now in Panama, where I found the perfect balance between nature, authenticity and creative energy.

Eugenio Igoa
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGY
I'm Eugenio, originally from the Basque Country and an adopted citizen of Panama since 2014. I arrived almost by chance… and stayed by choice. A decade later, this country has become my home and the inspiration for this project.
With a background in Business Administration, I have combined my professional experience with my passion for travel to co-create Burwa: a way of showcasing Panama with an honest, aesthetic, and curated perspective.
